11 months

Yes, I've been advised to cut your hair

I'm not too sure how to describe this past month other than to say that each day you are more a little boy and less a baby.

You have made major progress in the food department. I enticed you with some homemade blueberry oatmeal bars mashed into baby oatmeal. It worked! It opened your horizons and your palette is no longer hindered by textured cuisine. You've been eating a lot less baby food and a lot more mashed up table foods, even bread and wheat crackers and raisins.

Couscous anyone?

You love the water and have enjoyed a few outings to the pool. You can even go under water for a couple of seconds without drinking the whole pool. You love to crawl around as fast as you can and maneuver yourself up onto furniture and things. Whenever you see the bathroom door open you make a break for it before I can block you to see if there is water in the bathtub. When you manage to peek over the edge, you have a look of wonderment as to why there is no water in there and then you kind of wait and look to see if maybe some water will come. Consequently you've been banned from the bathroom. We may also have to get rid of our 9-year indoor lemon tree because it is all I can do to keep you away from it. You simply don't understand "No!" or you just have no respect for authority. Every time I say no, you just look at me and smile and continue on digging, eating and throwing out dirt from the pot.

C'mon, I know you've been dying to see my fabulous bum

You still enjoy being around your sister and don't mind her rough housing too much. You love exploring in the toy pile downstairs and can usually entertain yourself quite well. On the other hand, you're girlish scream is evolving into a demanding scream-grunt whenever you want something. You also have trouble containing your excitement sometimes and you apparently find it quite fitting to release some of it by biting. A bite, that is probably equivalent to a very painful bee sting I would imagine (I've never been stung) as it continues to resonate pain for quite a while.

You're as adorable as ever and as your true colors are starting to show, I think you will develop into quite the mischievous little boy.

Hey, thanks for leaving me a comment. Some day, when I'm twenty-five, I'll read it and it will be so cool. -celo
